Inventorium

We created the name, a series of messages, and the visual identity for Inventorium, which is a joint scientific research laboratory of Ericsson Nikola Tesla and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb.

Inventorium is a coined word combining both the English word invent and the Latin word laboratorium, which represents a technological laboratory where innovative ideas for the future come to life. Inventorium is envisioned as a hub of innovation, where researchers will work on developing the latest ICT technologies. The technological lab is equipped with sophisticated tools that will allow students to develop new analytical methods and apply artificial intelligence.

We also developed the creative concept of the entire Inventorium space – visuals, colors, and patterns. The inspiration for the visual identity came from “lines of code” in programming, as well as rays of light that convey excellence and the innovative ideas being developed within the Inventorium. The lines also serve as a functional role. They guide us through the space and lead us toward the main hall.

In order for the branding to come to life, we implemented a series of inspirational messages throughout the space, such as:
“Bright ideas ahead“
“Being bright is our might“
“The future’s bright when you work on it“
“Great future ahead, keep up the good work“
“Work on it a bit more today and you’ll get further ahead tomorrow“
“Experimenting with ideas means having ideas“
“If you have an idea, we have a place for you“
“The art of being smart“
“Technology is created by the people for the progress of societies“
“Challenge your own ideas“
“What day it is? A day to invent something new“
“Experiment, create, invent and repeat“
