Terra Falconis

We created the brand story, new name and visual identity for Terra Falconis sparkling wines, produced in the best locations of the Plešivica wine region. Due to the specific location and terroir, many winemakers and wine experts compare the Plešivica region with the vineyards of France’s famous regions – Burgundy, Jura, Alsace and Champagne, and rate the local, natural wines and sparkling wines as one of the best in Croatia.

Our task was to differentiate the new brand among established sparkling wine brands. Our brand story celebrates the heritage of the noble Erdödy family, who built their own wine cellar in 1736, where our best wines are aged today, and the noble harmony of man, hawks and falcons.

“There is something magical in the terroir of the Plešivica vineyards. The optimal exposure to the sun, rich soil, and fresh air breezing through the forest reward us with grapes of the highest quality, making the local wines extremely harmonious and refined. This area was once called the land of hawks and falcons, in honor of the magnificent birds that accompanied members of the noble Erdödy family on their hunts. Our sparkling wine, Terra Falconis, celebrates this noble harmony.“

The name Terra Falconis was inspired by the old name of Jastrebarsko Terra Jastraburcza and the noble tradition of hunting with hawks and falcons, enjoyed by the members of the Erdödy family. The visual identity is refined and elegant. The golden sign of a flying falcon, together with modern sans-serif typography, projects our tradition and heritage, but also the aspiration for creating premium sparkling wines.
